RoboCupJunior offers several challenges, each emphasizing both cooperative and competitive aspects. For young students, RoboCupJunior provides an exciting introduction to the field of robotics, a new way to develop technical abilities through hands-on experience with electronics, hardware and software, and a highly motivating opportunity to learn about teamwork while sharing technology with friends. In contrast to the one-child-one-computer scenario typically seen today, RoboCupJunior provides a unique opportunity for participants with a variety of interests and strengths to work together as a team to achieve a common goal.
About CoSpace Challenge RoboCupJunior CoSpace Challenge (RJCC) is an educational initiative to promote knowledge and skills in programming, engineering design, electronic control, and the world of 3D simulation through robotics for young minds. RJCC aims to fuse real and virtual robotic technologies towards bridging two prominent areas of the future namely, Interactive Digital Media and Robotics. It offers an opportunity for junior participants to explore robotic programming and AI strategies with simulation based competitions and hence to bridge the gap between RoboCupJunior and RoboCup Major Simulation leagues. CoSpace challenge in RoboCup Junior category would help the participating students acquire a range of learning and technical skills as in other RoboCupJunior leagues without being bounded by hardware or other resource requirements. Through CoSpace challenge, students will work together in groups building the key personal skills that includes collaboration, cooperation, and problem solving, required for their successful future in the real world.
